Janice June Clark (Montgomery)
Born Sept 25, 1937 to Wm Clifford and Alta (Boesiger) Montgomery in Beatrice Nebraska, passed March 9, 2025. Jan lived on a farm in Pickerall, Nebraska prior to moving to Cortland, Nebraska, where Jan graduated from Cortland High School.Then she attended the University of Nebraska. She graduated with a major in Home Economics. She married the love of her life, John Clark, and had three children, Karen McCarten (Michael) of Frankston, Texas, Montgomery Clark (Julia) of Phoenix, Arizona and Alison Goldsmith (Patrick) of Ames, Iowa.
She enjoyed sewing, playing cards, playing and watching sports, especially volleyball and basketball. She loved to travel and experienced five continents. She was an active church member in each community that she lived, most recently at Northminster Presbyterian Church in Ames. She was a member of Chapter HO of PEO, and continually on boards and committees in many organizations. She valued friendship and cherished the good friends that she made throughout her life.
A memorial service will be held April 26 at 2:00 PM at Green Hills Retirement Community, 2205 Green Hills Drive, Ames, IA 50014.
