Rebecca Jane Bremer (Becky), 78, passed away on Thursday, September 18, 2025 at Waverly Healthcare, Waverly, Iowa. Rebecca Jane Bremer, daughter of Milon and Thelma Brant, was born on September 26, 1946, in Oelwein, Iowa. She was baptized at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Fairbank, Iowa, on September 26, 1949. Becky graduated from Wapsie Valley Community High School in 1964. On July 18, 1965, she was united in marriage to Duane Bremer at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Fairbank, Iowa. To this union, three children were born: Heidi, Holly, and Heather. Duane and Becky raised their family in Tripoli, where Becky worked in various capacities throughout her life. She held positions at Dr. Sam Estepa’s office in Tripoli, Foelske Shoe Shop, and Tripoli Schools. She also served as an in-home daycare provider before beginning her career as a CNA at Denver Sunset Home in Denver, Iowa. Becky later worked in the activities department at the Tripoli Nursing Home before retiring. Becky was deeply involved in her community. lso a long-time member of Grace Lutheran Church. In their later years, Duane and Becky enjoyed spending the winter months in Weslaco, Texas. Becky is survived by her husband, Duane, and their three children: Heidi (Evan Wagner) Miller of Plainfield, Holly (Kevin) Smith of Waverly, and Heather Bremer of Cedar Falls. Becky is also survived by twelve grandchildren: Emily (Shawn) Leavens, Karley (Collin) Heideman, Drew Miller, Miranda Wagner, Lexi (Jayson) Holthaus, Kierstin (Vance) Heller, Hannah (Jason) Stine, Olivia (Alex Rondorf) Miller, Morgan Smith, Klair Heim, Maddux Miller, and London Miller And fourteen great-grandchildren: Bain and Bloom Leavens, Archer and Iris Heideman, Ava, Lucas, and Roree Miller, Blakely, Kashton, Rory, and Tate Holthaus, Holland, Ryatt, and Clayton Heller. Becky is also survived by her sister, Rachel Skvor, and many sisters-in-laws, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, and extended family members, including: Becky Brant, Darla (Al) Bock, Mary (Dick) Wirt, Julie Martin, Carol (Bernie) Smith. She was preceded in death by her parents, Milon and Thelma Brant, as well as her father and mother-in-law, Paul and Elvira Bremer. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Robert Brant and Rodney Brant, her sisters-in-law Jean Bremer and Shirley Bremer, her brothers-in-law Donald Bremer, Paul Bremer, Harlan Bremer, and David Bremer, and her nephew, Josh Skvor. A Celebration of Life will be held at Maple Hills Country Club on October 25, 2025, from 3:00-7:00 P.M. All are welcome to join the family in remembering and honoring Becky’s life.
