g fresh ingredients, preparing food, and entertaining her family and friends. She was also an integral member of her local community. She often accepted the responsibility of leadership and chairperson roles. During her earlier lifetime, she was actively involved in 4H, was the president of the Local Cancer Society, chaired multiple community events and was selected to serve for many years on her local grand jury. She was proud of her role in support of her husband's grocery business - Giannone's Supermarket. She relished Paul's and the store's position in the community as the local grocer of Los Banos for over two decades. In later years, she was active in her bridge club, theater going in the Bay area, a regular attendee at all home 49er games (including a 49er Superbowl) and the Golden Agers. Marge was definitively a lifelong learner. She returned to school after the early years of childrearing to pursue further collegiate education. She pursued and obtained her real estate license as a later in life, second career and built a successful practice in real estate, accumulating a portfolio for she and Paul to develop, work on and manage. Her constant pursuit of learning and curiosity extended next to travel. Marge was excited to see the world. Paul and she traveled to over 20 countries. Marge took a detailed account of what she saw in each place. This practice is one that serves as a testament to her thoughtfulness and genuine intrigue about all the world had to offer, and she encouraged others to replicate it. Her travel wasn't her only expression of curiosity. Marge returned to her passion as an avid reader who finished multiple books per month. She loved sharing her findings on daily phone calls with her family and frequent visits with her grandchildren. Marge and Paul were a testament to how great love can be. Together for nearly 70 years, their partnership was devoted, strong, and enviable. Their love was an example of one to seek out, search for, and live by. They truly exemplified the meaning of soulmates. As a person, Marge was distinctly reliable, devoted, and consistent in her life and especially with her family. She was an extraordinary and involved grandparent who was proud to actively help in raising and influencing her five granddaughters, Jennifer, Janie, Sofia, Lucia, and Tullia. She was a kind and calm grandmother. Alive and alert to the very end, she was an ever-present mom to Jeff and Lisa who were able to depend on her for advice and wisdom. She was a caring listener, mentor and teacher in all imaginable ways, and she prided herself on her close friendships and family. Marge lived by her strong values throughout her life. She was honest, she was humble, and she had energy and wisdom to share always. She emphasized the importance of doing good and being strong, for oneself, for one's family, and for one's community. She lived making the most of every day, every opportunity, and every relationship until her final moments. Marge loved her family devotedly and showed it exuberantly. She will be missed deeply by all who knew her, and her legacy lives on in all those whom she loved, taught and influenced.
