torcycles, he finally treated himself to his dream bike: a 2014 Indian Chief Classic. He loved taking motorcycle excursions with his family and friends. In 2024, he became the proud grandpa of his “Happy Jack” and looked forward to receiving photos and videos of him. Calvin would share them with everyone he could. He was delighted that Jack was able to make the overseas trip this year so they could meet in person. Calvin is survived by his daughter, Kelsey and husband, Craig (Brussels, Belgium); his son, Joe and wife, Heidi (Floyd, Iowa); his grandchildren: Jack, Kaylin, and Jenessa; his grandchildren-by-heart: Kolten and Jayla; his siblings: Maureen, Dennis, Roger, and Vicki; his many nieces and nephews, of whom he was very fond; and his rescue dog Annabelle. He was preceded in death by his parents; his stepmother Alice; his siblings: Dick, Connie, Jerry, Steve, and Deb; and his beloved four-legged companions: Sheena, Cheyenne, and Sasha. Upon his wishes, Calvin will be cremated, and a celebration of life will take place this coming summer so that he can have one last ride on his beloved motorcycle. Information regarding this celebration of life will be forthcoming and published when finalized. Those wishing to express condolences may send them to Joe Hull PO Box 162, Charles City, IA 50616. His children would like to thank the staff at North Iowa Hospice and the Iowa Department of Veterans Affairs for their dedicated care and attention and particular gratitude to our godmother, Lou, for her invaluable help the past few months.
