Faron Doyle Good

Faron Doyle Good, 70, of Parkersburg, Iowa passed away on Sunday, January 18, 2026, from complications of agent orange exposure. Faron was born June 27, 1955 in Waterloo, Iowa, the son of John and Theresa Good. Faron was six out of eight siblings. He enlisted in the US Navy at the age of 17, and was honorably discharged after serving his country in Vietnam as a Radar Man. Faron was employed with the 2158 Union Millwright, where he traveled all over the country, making a lot of friends along the way. Faron was always had a joke for any situation and was always ready to have fun. He was likely to throw a leg over his motorcycle and be gone for several days on a ride. From canoeing down the river to day trips to get fireworks, Faron was always ready for an adventure with his family and friends. In his free time, Faron was skilled in leatherworking, carpentry, and mechanics, and always had many irons in the fire. Faron loved his animals, especially his dogs, and enjoyed taking a ride on one of the horses. Faron would do anything he could to help others, especially the ones he loved. He will be missed. Faron is survived by his wife, Kate Good, son Faron Robert Good, stepchildren Borge Johnson and Jayna Johnson, sister Wanda Davis, two brothers Lamont Good and Robert Good, six grandchildren, one great granddaughter, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. A Celebration of Life will be announced and held at a later date, to further honor Faron's love of warm weather. All memorials can be directed to the family.
