Lorraine Vann

Lorraine J. Vann, 87, Green Bay, died Sunday, November 28, 2004 at her home surrounded by her family and overlooking the Fox River. She was born August 12, 1917 to the late William and Josephine (Kimps) Peters. On April 26, 1941, she married Howard Vannieuwenhoven at St. Mary's Church in DePere. Lorraine worked at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church where she was a founding member and the original bookkeeper. She was an avid Packer fan, enjoyed traveling and went to Hawaii 14 times, playing cards, and was a huge ?Jeopardy? fan. Survivors include five children, Sue (Bob) Paral, Green Bay; Sally (Ken) VanStraten, Baileys Harbor; Pete (Claudia) Vann, Green Bay; Tina (Gene) Gohr, Green Bay; and Tim (Beth) Vann, Green Bay; ten grandchildren, Mike Wiese, Green Bay; Pam Packee, Milwaukee; Dr. Josh De Silvey, Seattle, Wash.; Sarina De Silvey, Green Bay; Christopher Vann, Green Bay; Jeff Vann, Madison; Misty Vann, Green Bay; Cpl. Gena Gohr, USMC, Okinawa, Japan; Gregory Gohr, Shorewood; and Eric Vann, Tampa, Fla.; two great-grandchildren, Evan Vann and Rosa Zahn, both of Green Bay; one brother-in-law, Ellsworth Vann, Green Bay; and two sisters-in-law, Dorothy Vann, Green Bay; and Doroth...[more]

Friends may call Wednesday from 4 ? 8 PM at Lyndahl Funeral Home, Lombardi Avenue at Ridge Road, and after 10 AM Thursday at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church where the Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 AM with the Rev. James Hablewitz officiating. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Unity Hospice for their care and concern. Lorraine was a cancer survivor of 30 years.
