Michael Crooks

Michael ?Popcorn? Crooks, 52, Green Bay, passed away unexpectedly Monday, November 1, 2004 at his home. He was born March 31, 1952 in Green Bay to Mike and Jackie (Brice) Crooks. He served his country in the US Air Force. Mike had been employed at Improved Living Services where he took care of many special people. Mike had coached football, basketball, and baseball at all levels, including Green Bay East, Green Bay West, and DePere Abbot Pennings, where he was a part of the 1990 State Champion Basketball Team. He was an avid sports fan but especially enjoyed the Green Bay Packers. Some things that Mike enjoyed were playing guitar, taking trips to St. Germain, watching movies with his kids, and especially helping the youth develop their athletic skills. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Frank and Sophie Crooks; and maternal grandparents, Garfield and Ida Brice. Friends may call from 4 ? 8 PM Wednesday at Lyndahl Funeral Home, Lombardi Avenue at Ridge Road, with a 7PM Wake Service. Visitation continues after 10 AM at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 211 North Maple, where the Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM with Msgr. Brian P. Coleman officiating. Burial in Allouez Cemetery with full military honors. A memorial fund has been established in Michael's name. The family would to thank Dr. Ken Hujet.
