Raymond Van Den Plas

Raymond R. Van Den Plas, 72, Green Bay, passed away Tuesday morning, Dec. 19, 2006 surrounded by his loving family after a long and courageous battle with esophageal cancer. He was born on Sept. 2, 1934 in Green Bay to the late Albert Vanden Plas, Sr. and Mabel Laurent. He married Betty Zellner on Sept. 16, 1952 at St. Amand's Catholic Church in Walhain. He graduated from Luxemburg-Casco High School, Class of 1952. He worked at Procter & Gamble for 39 years, 11 months. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and a member of the Holy Name Society and ?Charlie's Handy Men Gang.? He was also a communion distributor and money counter. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting and traveling. Ray was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Milton; infant sister, Gloria; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Elmer (Dora) Zellner, Elsie (Augie) Haen, Alvin (Eleanor) Zellner, Clarence Zellner, Loretta LeRoy, Raymond Paye, and Rosella Zellner. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 22, 2006, at Lyndahl Funeral Home, where a parish wake service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue after 10:00 a.m. on Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Ninth Street at 12th Avenue, where a Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev.
