Daniel Phillips

The Lord Jesus took Daniel by the hand and together they entered the Gates of Heaven on Monday, April 30, 2007. He passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving and devoted family in Green Bay. Daniel, 16, is the precious son of Denise (Desremaux) and Scott Phillips, born March 6, 1991. Although handicapped, he touched the hearts and lives of everyone who knew him. Daniel's beautiful smile reflected God's love to the world. He attended Syble Hopp School in De Pere where he was surrounded by good friends and dedicated teachers and staff. Those sadly missing Daniel include his parents, sister Courtney (Micah) Downs, Micah's son, Caleb Downs, and brother, Andrew (A.J.) Phillips; all of Green Bay. His maternal grandparents, Nancy (Surber) & Daniel Desremaux of Oconto Falls, very special aunt and loving caregiver, Nanette (Nettie) & uncle Rick Casey and daughter/cousin, Leah of Green Bay, uncle Mark (Kellie) Desremaux, Kellie's children Patrick & Madison of Lena. Daniel was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Shirle (Konkol) Phillips in 1987, and cousin, Mitchel Jon Casey in 1996. Friends may call at 4:00 PM on Friday, May 4, 2007 at Highland Crest Baptist Church, 1830 S. Military Avenue, Green Bay. Celebration service of Daniel's life will begin at 6:30 PM with Rev. James Downs officiating. A memorial fund in Daniel's name has been established. We wish to express our sincere gratitude to those who enhanced Daniel's life with their time and talents, and outpouring of love and support throughout his life and especially in times of need.
