Edward J. Boldt, 55, Howard, passed away Friday, March 21, 2008, at his home, surrounded by his family. He was born on July 29, 1952 to the late Edward C. and Shirley J. (Shackelford) Boldt. On Sept. 12, 1980, he married the former Lynn Bunker in Green Bay. Ed was employed by the Chicago-Northwestern Railroad for many years prior to 1995, when he joined Gagnon Clay Products. He also worked as an independent masonry contractor during this time. Ed cherished his wife and was extremely proud of his children. He was hardworking and could do virtually anything. He enjoyed the freedom he felt while riding his Harley, and loved family time (especially when food was involved). Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Lynn; one son: Edward, Jr. (Melissa Krueger), Green Bay; one daughter: Leslie (fiance, James Foytik), Green Bay; his beloved granddaughter, Gracin Lynn (Sweetpea); two sisters and brothers-in-law: Nancy and Tom Zehms, Green Bay, and Barb and Michael Gallegos, North Aurora, IL; one brother and sister-in-law: Randy and Sue Boldt; Oswego, IL; parents-in-law: Ben and Marianne Bunker, Green Bay; brother-in-law: Bruce Bunker, Green Bay; sisters-in-law: Rena (Scott) Schultz...[more]

Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 25, 2008, at Lyndahl Funeral Home, where a parish wake service will take place at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue after 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 1305 Lourdes Ave., De Pere, where a Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10: 30 a.m. with the Rev. Tim Shillcox officiating. Interment in Allouez Catholic Cemetery. Ed's family would like to thank Father Tim Shillcox, Dr. J. Mitchell Winkler and the staffs of Green Bay Oncology and Unity Hospice for their superior care and genuine concern during the past several months.
