Doris Treptow

Doris M. Treptow, 86, of Green Bay, passed away on Friday, February 26, 2010. She was born on May 26, 1924 in Oconto to George and Mary (Williston) Crooks. She was a graduate of Oconto High School. Doris was employed by the Bell Telephone Company in Oconto for several years, later moving to Green Bay where she worked at Nau's Department Store as a phone operator. Then, met her husband Mark and were married on November 10, 1951 at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Green Bay. They had three children Tim, Kim, and Jim. Through their love of children, the couple later had a daycare in their home and through the years they had over twenty children they cared for. Some things Doris enjoyed doing were decorating, cooking, baking, entertaining, and always liked to have her family and friends around her. She is survived by one son: James of Green Bay; one daughter and son-in-law: Kim and Joe Haworth of Green Bay; her three grandchildren Nicholas, Colten, and Ian; two brothers-in-law Don Treptow, Lee (Dorothy) Treptow; and two sisters-in-law Dorothy and Gloria; many nieces and nephews. Visitation for Doris will be held at First Evangelical Lutheran Church (743 S. Monroe Ave.) on Tuesday, March 2, 2010, from 9:30 a.m. until time of funeral services at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev.
