Robert J. Borremans, 83, Green Bay, died Monday, April 25, 2011, at a local nursing home. He was born February 8, 1928 to the late Frank and Elsie (Euclide) Borremans in Green Bay. Robert served his country in the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict. On June 13, 1953, he married Delores "Dolly" Johnson in Green Bay; she preceded him in death December 20, 2004. He was employed as an engineering technician for the City of Green Bay, retiring in 1990. He and Dolly were active with the Nicolet German Shepherd Dog Club. He was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church where he sang in the choir. He loved singing, dancing, camping, fishing, spending time with family and friends and was an avid Packer fan. Survivors include his four sons, Dan Borremans, Green Bay; Jeff (Carol) Borremans, Green Bay; Todd (Joan) Borremans, Seymour; and Rob (Gail) Borremans, Green Bay; seven grandchildren, Ken (Brandy), Steve (Carrie), Andrew, Adam and Sarah, Michael and Richard; five great-grandchildren, Quentin, Abby, Cameron, Michael, Clayton and Riley; two sisters and one sister-in-law, Orpha Rhoades and Gerrie Allen, both of Green Bay and Dorothy Borremans, Milwaukee...[more]

In addition to his parents and his wife, Delores "Dolly", he was preceded in death by a brother, Francis Borremans. Visitation will take place from 4 to 8 Thursday, April 28, at Lyndahl Funeral Home. Visitation will continue after 12 noon Friday at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2771 Oakwood Drive, where the Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1 pm with the Rev. Paul Demuth officiating. Burial will be at Fort Howard Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established. The family wishes to thank the staffs of Cloud Family Daycare, Manor Care West and St. Mary's Hospital as well as Dan, Rob, Gail, Orphie and Gerry for the care that they gave to Bob.
