Bertha Jane (Freeseman) Allison, 94, of Allison, Iowa, passed away October 19, 2011, at the Cedar Falls Health Care Center in Cedar Falls, Iowa. She was born December 16, 1916, in Grundy County, Iowa, to Louis and Alice (Croot) Freeseman. Bertha attended rural Grundy County country schools. She married Emil Allison on July 20, 1940 in Oelwein, Iowa. Bertha was a homemaker. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family and grandchildren. Bertha is survived by her son Charles (Lynn) Allison of Allison, daughter Emily (Don) Pearce of Cedar Falls, daughter Darnell (Gary) Fairbanks of Mason City, daughter Rhonda Schilling and (Gary Sullivan) of Waterloo, sister Lena Voogd of Ackley, sister Francis Allison of Aplington, ten grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Emil, died March 12, 1957, son, Stanley October 1, 2007, a great grandson, five brothers Harold, William, Fred, Clarence and Melvin, four sisters, Anna Kreimeyer, Alice Smeins, Catherine Larsen and Susanna Harken.
