J. Virginia McVay WEST LIBERTY, Iowa--J. Virginia McVay, 92, of West Liberty, died on Thursday, October 27, 2011, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. Funeral Service will be 10:30 a.m. on Monday, October 31, 2011, at the Henderson-Barker Funeral Home in West Liberty. Burial will take place in Oak Ridge Cemetery in West Liberty. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, October 30, 2011, at the funeral home. A memorial fund has been established. Virginia was born on March 25, 1919, in Keswick, Iowa, the daughter of M. Elmer and Edith VanFossen Ladley. She graduated from Deep River High School in 1936. She was united in marriage to Lowell McVay on December 19, 1936 in New Sharon, Iowa. Virginia was employed as a hot lunch supervisor with West Liberty Schools for 26 years. She is survived by her daughter, Connie Neipert and husband, Richard, of West Liberty; a son, Terry McVay and wife, Pam, of North Liberty; four grandchildren, John Neipert of West Liberty, Lynn Longstreth and husband, Lance, of Fruitland, Jayson McVay and wife, Betsy, of West Liberty and Kelly Morgan and husband, Josh, of Coralville; three great-grandchildren, Taylor ...[more]
