Patrick James "Pat" Kennedy

Madison - Patrick J. "Pat" Kennedy, age 80, passed away on Monday, October 31, 2011, at his home in Madison. He was born on September 1, 1931 in Wausau, WI, the son of Joseph and Ruby (Barlow) Kennedy. Pat served in the Army during the Korean War. He worked for the University of Wisconsin Press for 30 years retiring in 1988. He was a member of the US Power Squadron and Boy Scout Troop 11 and participated in many scouting activities. Pat enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hunting, boating and skiing. He was a kind generous person and always willing to give of his time and himself to help others. Pat loved animals, especially his dogs. He will be greatly missed by family and friends. He is survived by his companion, Jean Suchomel; a daughter, Shannon (Richard) Breyman; god son, Jason (Brooke) Suchomel; sister, Maureen (Calvin) Thur; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Patrick was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Janet and infant daughter, Kelly.
