for three years, and worked as a Project Inspector for the State of Iowa. After working for Kartridge Pak in Davenport for several years, he worked in the maintenance department for the Jackson County Highway Department for 12 years until retirement. Don was a member of the First Lutheran Church and the Maquoketa Lions Club. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing and repairing electronics. He was a handyman who could fix anything. His loved ones remember him as a patient and loving man, dedicated to his family. Don is survived by his wife, Elizabeth "Betty" Miller of Maquoketa, IA; children, Deborah (Tom) Olson of Sioux Falls, SD, Jerome (Robin) Miller of Sioux Falls, SD, and Jeff Miller of Washington, IA; 6 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Bill (Iola) Bjorklund of Isle, MN, and David (Mary) Bjorklund of Bloomington, MN; and a half-sister, Sandy (Dave) Simley of Fargo, ND. He was preceded in death by all of his parents, and a brother, John Bjorklund. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, memorials may be made to First Lutheran Church or Camp Courageous of Iowa.
