Wilda Vázquez González joined her Savior in heaven on October 6, 2011. She was surrounded by her daughters, Beatriz González of Richmond, Virginia and Alice Marie McDonald of Windermere, Florida who never left her bedside. She is survived by her husband, Raymond J. González; her brother, Jose Luzunaris Pagan of San Juan, Puerto Rico; her son-in-law Scott Allan McDonald and her two beautiful grandsons, Kyle Allan and Shane Austin McDonald who brought her tremendous joy and laughter. Wilda was born in Rìo Piedras, Puerto Rico on May 4, 1941 to Antonia Pagan Cruz and Alejandro Vazquez Medina. She was a proud graduate of the University of Puerto Rico. Wilda was a loving and loyal wife, but her greatest joy was motherhood. She loved to travel, read and collect history and art books, and ride horses. Among her favorite places were America's National Parks but especially Jackson Hole, Wyoming where she vacationed with her family for years. She also loved spending time with her nieces, cousins, God-daughter and friends in Puerto Rico. Her ashes will return home to her beloved Puerto Rico to be scattered in a private service this winter.
