Otis Baker of Jackson, Mississippi; Sisters: Dorothy Baldwin of Miami, Florida, Ella Mae Jones of Plainsfield, New Jersey; Sister-in-law Mary Smith of Jacksonville, Florida; cousins, nieces, and nephews, along with many sorrowing friends and neighbors. And if the measure of a man’s blessing is based on the size of his family, then Jessie was truly a blessed man. For his family also consisted of twenty-five grands, sixty great-grands and twenty-two great, great grandchildren- one hundred and seven total. Fondest Memories Daddy was a loving and caring husband and father. His family and love for God were his life. He was a jack of all trades, doing whatever was needed to provide for his family; laying roofing tiles, mechanic, fishing bait farm and his own trucking business (always busy, busy busy). He was known for always joking and telling stories of his childhood. He was an undiscovered song writer and his two most favorite songs were “Dee-Dee-Dee” and “Poor Little Baby” which he dedicated to all his grand-babies. And we can’t forget “Cornbread Stew.” Daddy’s greatest passion was to “EAT” and always said that when he leaves this world he would go with a full stomach. This he did until near the end when he couldn’t hold anymore. (Smile). He was loved by everyone and treated them all as family. To know him was to love him. His sense of humor will be remembered by all his children and grands. “He will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. Rev. 21:4 “All those in the memorial tombs will… come out. John 5.’28,29 Jessie loved Jehovah and the congregation and, at the age of 75, dedicated his life as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
