Tony Haken was born on August 30, 1926, in Rushmore, Minnesota to the late John and Tena (Jacobs) Haken. He graduated from Murray County on June 25, 1941. Tony enlisted in the United States Army in 1945 and was honorably discharged in 1946.
On September 19, 1947, Tony was united in marriage to Joyce Lamkin in Sayler Park, Ohio. After marriage, Tony and Joyce farmed south of Storden for over fifty years. Tony and Joyce were blessed with two children, Bob and Bonnie. After retirement, they purchased a home in Windom in 2004. Tony enjoyed sports, watching wrestling and most of all, his family, especially his grandchildren.
On Monday, November 21, 2011, Tony fell and was taken to the Windom Area Hospital in Windom where he passed away on Wednesday, November 23rd at the age of 85.
Tony was a member of the First Baptist Church in Windom.
