Mrs. Coralee Joan Long, 65, of Burlington, died at 11:02 p.m. Monday, November 28, 2011 at Great River Medical Center.
Born October 4, 1946 in Burlington, she was the daughter of Clarence and Beatrice Brown Pries. She was raised and adopted by her grandparents, Marion Charles and Cora Fern Eaton Brown. On March 17, 1984 she married Lawrence Long in Burlington.
Mrs. Long was a graduate of Gladstone High School. She worked for Hope Haven for 16 years and in the Burlington Hospital kitchen for five years. She enjoyed painting, playing BINGO, checkers and exercising.
Survivors include her husband, Lawrence Long of Burlington; one sister, Tina of California; one brother, Marion Brown Jr. of Oquawka, Illinois; nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Her parents, adopted parents, two brothers Herman Brown and Daniel Brown Sr. and two sisters Elsie Savage and Frieda Wright preceded her in death.
The memorial graveside funeral service and inurnment for Mrs. Long will be 9 a.m. Friday, December 2nd, in Carman Cemetery. Pastor Kendall Adams will officiate.
A memorial has been established.
Cremation has been accorded.
