Weiqi Lu

Mr. Weiqi Lu, 53, passed away on Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at his home surrounded by his family in Horsham Township, PA. He was born and raised in China and was the son of Jie Lu and Lijun Ma. Mr. Lu married Manling Peng in Beijing China on July 3, 1986. He received his bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering in Northern Jiaotong University in Beijing, China in 1982. He came to the United States on July 7, 1987 and was employed by Temple University's School of Medicine as a research assistant. He received his Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Science from Temple University, School of Pharmacy in 2000. He was a Senior Scientist, employed by Merck & Co. in Upper Gwynedd, PA. since 1993. He is the loving husband of Manling Peng and the devoted father of Kevin Y. Lu. Mr. Lu had extraordinary talent in science, art, architecture design and a strong passion for child education and community service. He loved to help his colleagues, neighbors, and friends.
