CATHERINE HONTS MUSCATINE, Iowa - Catherine M. Honts, 87, of Muscatine, died on Thursday, December 8, 2011, at All-American Care Center. Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 12, 2011, at the First Baptist Church, 3003 Mulberry Avenue. Reverend Don Swanson of the First Baptist Church will officiate. Honorary bearers will be Brandon Allman, Angie Crumly, Jamie Peck, Ryne Honts. Casket bearers will be Steve Honts, Douglas Peck, Donald Eichelberger, Tim Shaw, Bradley Honts, and Jack Wilson. Burial will take place in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, December 11, 2011, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. Memorials may be left to the First Baptist Church or Pilot Club. Catherine was born on January 2, 1924, in Mercer County, Illinois, the daughter of Archie and Mabel Lange White. She married Robert Honts on July 12, 1947, in Davenport. She and her husband owned and operated Bob's Landscaping. She was a member of First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; one grandson; one sister, Phyllis Comfort; and three brothers, Buddy White, Richard White, and Jack White.
