Arlene Mae Rezac

Arlene Mae (Johnson) Rezac was born on October 30, 1919, in Des Moines Township, Jackson County, Minnesota to Anton and Alma (Nestegard) Johnson. She was baptized and later confirmed at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Jackson. She received her education from Jackson District 11 School. On June 29, 1939, Arlene was united in marriage to Lawrence Edward Rezac at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Jackson. This marriage was blessed with four children, Janice, Jeanette, Jerald, and Jurene. Arlene and Lawrence lived and farmed in Minneota Township, Jackson County from 1939 until 1949. They purchased their farm in Delafield Township and lived there for 49 years until 1998. They moved into a home on 641 River Road in Windom. Lawrence passed away on October 20, 2004. In 2009, Arlene moved to the Good Samaritan Society of Windom and remained there until passing away on Friday afternoon, December 9, 2011, at the age of 92. Arlene was a member of the American Lutheran Church. She loved being a member of the Good Cheer Club for over 60 years, socializing, dancing with the Polka Club of America. Arlene is survived by her four children, Janice Benson and her husband, Jerry, of Sebring, FL; Jeanette Brackett of Perry, IA; Jerald Rezac and his wife, Stella, of Edina; and Jurene Chief Eagle of Gering, NE; nine grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; and several other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lawrence; and three brothers, Stanley, Alvin, and Gordon Johnson. Blessed be the memory of Arlene Mae Rezac.
