Ronald Lepley, 66, formerly of Lacona, passed away Wednesday, January 6, 2008 at the Iowa Soldiers Home in Marshalltown. His family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM on Saturday, Feb. 9, at the Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Lacona. Ronald was born Sept. 2, 1941 near Lacona to Glenn and Dorothy Marsh Lepley. He graduated from Lacona High School in 1959 and worked his entire adult life in the De Moines area and retired after suffering a stroke in 1998. Ronald was a mechanic in the Air Force and belonged to the American Legion. He enjoyed good times with friends and had a wonderful sense of humor. He loved the outdoors: fishing, camping, and hunting. Ronald especially loved spending time with his daughter who he nicknamed "Mac" and made wonderful memories teaching her to hunt and fish.
