Cleo Oxenreider Lacona, Iowa Funeral services for Cleo Oxenreider, 101, will be Saturday, April 11, 2009 at 11 AM at the Lacona Nazarene Church with pastor Jack Wolgamuth officiating. Cleo was born on February 17, 1908 on a farm outside Lacona to Cecil and Jenny Brown Oxenreider. Cleo has spent most of his life in Lacona. He married Mabel Lorraine Hickman and was married for seventy-five years until her passing in 1999. Cleo and everyone who knew him would say he was a teacher, farmer, and a cowboy. He was the first teacher in the Lacona area to earn the highest level teaching degree. Cleo was well liked by many, and he was a true gentlemen. Cleo passed away April 7, 2009. He was preceded in death by his parents Cecil and Jenny; and his wife of 75 years Mabel.
