Memorials In care of Marvin's Family Marvin was born September 11, 1933 in Lismore, Minnesota to Bernard and Clara Ehrnst Kemper. He was married to Lena Faye Stark in November of 1958 in Stuart, Iowa. Marvin served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict as an Aircraft Mechanic, serving from 1953 until 1961. Marvin worked as a diesel and heavy equipment mechanic for Keith and Kevin Kent Construction as well as for McAninch and others. In his free time he enjoyed fishing, NASCAR, football especially the Vikings and the Hawkeyes. He also enjoyed taking rides through the country with his family and helping others with his talents as a mechanic. His grandchildren will remember the gum, candy, and pop that he always had available when they came to visit. Marvin, 76, of Lucas is survived by his wife Lena; children: Lorrie (Michael) Kinser of Chariton, Marva Blue of Ames, John (Karmel) Kemper of Chariton, and Mary (Jeff) Grismore of Chariton; 15 grandchildren; and three siblings.
