ayne and Effie have had joint efforts in improving the farm and livestock. They both relish the farm, farm animals and their home. Effie worked for Hy-Vee Inc. at the home office. She had a reputation for having the best garden in Iowa. The garden produce didn't go to waste because what she did not preserve and serve at her table, she shared with many relatives and friends. She had a superior mind, because she could compute the weight of the animals, price and market time before any computer. Thus, the reason she was corralling and loading the cattle when the bull charged the gate and injuring her fatally. Effie's golden heart could evaluate the needs of her family and friends and her muscular body could carry out good deeds to help anybody. A memorial service will be held October 30, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at the Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Chariton, Iowa. Visitation will be held prior to the Service at 9:00. In lieu of Flowers Memorials to the Lucas County Humane Society. Online condolences: www.pierschbacherfuneralhome.com .
