Warren J. "Potchy" Lindeman

Warren J. "Potchy" Lindeman, 81, died Saturday morning, Dec. 17, 2011, surrounded by his family. He was born on March 27, 1930 in Channing, MI to the late Alvin and Ida (Challancin) Lindeman. On Aug. 4, 1951, he married the former Elizabeth "Betty" Peterson at St. Rose Catholic Church in Channing. He was a station agent for 44 years for Milwaukee Railroad, retiring in 1992. Warren was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish and a former member of Brac Railroad Union, NARV and the Loyal Order of the Moose #801. Warren and Betty spent many wonderful years as snowbirds, enjoying the beaches of Alabama, Florida and Texas. Warren loved fishing and hunting. He cherished the time with his son, Gary, hunting out west and working on old cars. Warren could fix or build just about anything. Above all, he was a loving husband, father and grandfather, and took particular pride in attending the events of his grandchildren. ndrea Thiry; one sister: Charlotte Bloom, Green Bay; one brother-in-law: David (Barbara) Peterson, Milwaukee; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, Warren was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Katie Beth Thiry; one brother and two sisters-in-law: Leonard "Tony" and Pat Lindeman, and Anita Parent; and one brother-in-law: Robert "Bobby" Bloom. Visitation will take place after 9:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 19, 2011 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2771 Oakwood Ave., Green Bay, where a Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Paul Demuth officiating. Burial in Allouez Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established. Warren's family would like to thank the wonderful staffs of Woodside Lutheran Home and Unity Hospice for the exceptional care of Warren and the support of his family.
