James Hayes Kindred

James Hayes Kindred, (KB8WLO) 73 of Carlisle died Wednesday December 21, 2011 at Miami Valley Hospital. He was born in Middletown the son of Earl and Bertha (Hawthorne). He was formerly an Assistant Fire Chief in Carlisle in the late 60's and early 70's. Jim was formerly a barber and he later worked for Armco Steel. He had several outside interest, including being a Ham Radio Operator, and a very good carpenter. He loved making bird feeders and traveling to Mackinaw, Mi for vacations. He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant son, and a sister, Wilma Spurling. Jim is survived by his wife, Zola, 2 daughters, Dana (Dave) Cook and Dawn (Jeff) Howard, 1 grandchild, Carissa, a brother, William Kindred, sister, Mary Ellen Sellers and a sister-in-law, Nola Craycraft. Funeral services will be Tuesday 11:00 am at the Anderson Funeral Home 1357 E. 2nd. St. Franklin. Visitation will be 6 - 8 pm Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Woodhill cemetery.
