David Michael Jaeger

David Michael Jaeger, 47, of Burlington, IA died peacefully at his home on Wednesday, December 28, 2011. Born September 1, 1964, in Burlington, IA, he was the son of Donald L. Jaeger and Barbara J. Rashid. David was a 1983 graduate of Burlington High School. David worked various jobs over the years with the most recent being Long John Silvers. He enjoyed his Dalmatian dogs, Buddy and Mikey who predeceased him, and his beloved cat Tenille. He collected everything he could in the Dalmatian memorabilia, with his numerous shelves full of this memorabilia. He especially enjoyed time with his family and friends. Those left to mourn David are his Dad, Skip Jaeger and wife, Lou of Burlington; his mother, Barbara Childs of Phoenix AZ; his brother, Donald and wife Lori of Burlington; his sister, Brooke Jaeger Milligan of Stevensville, MI; his brother, Marcus Shute of Phoenix, AZ and his step-sister, Lynne and husband, Reiner Gotz of Trophy Club, TX. , Madison Klein, great nephews, Tanner and Camden Klein all of Burlington. David also leaves numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his paternal and maternal grandparents and his uncle Chuck. Visitation will be from noon until 8 p.m. Wednesday, January 4th, in Lunning Chapel where the family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. The funeral service for David will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, January 5th, in Lunning Chapel with the Rev. Ron Jewett officiating. Interment will be at Long Creek Cemetery in rural Danville. A memorial has been established for the Des Moines County Humane Society new building fund.
