Mary E. Thomasson

Mary Elizabeth Thomasson, age 87 of Mitchellville, died Saturday, December 31, 2011 at Mitchell Village Care Center in Mitchellville. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Coburn Funeral Home in Monroe with burial following at Silent City Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Memorials may be given to the Mary E. Thomasson Memorial Fund and online condolences may be left for the family at www.coburnfuneralhomes.com. The daughter of Herman and Rose Marie (Adams) Breer, Mary Elizabeth Breer was born on June 12, 1924 in Hollandsdale, Minnesota. Mary fell in love with Roy Edward Thomasson and the two were united in marriage on February 17, 1945 at Camp Lejune. To this union, six children were born. Mary worked hard as a nurse, cook and then homemaker. She cherished her family and was a great caretaker for them. Mary enjoyed collecting many different items.
