proverbial Mr. Fix-It, and was as adept with a tool as he was with mechanical devices, blue prints and electronic circuitry. He was versatile, knowledgeable, witty and quick with a joke. Generous to a fault, his friends and family could always depend on him during times of need. He enjoyed playing cards and just about any board game that came his way. He never lost his penchant for aircraft, held a pilot's license, and would frequently take others aloft to enjoy the sights. A lover of all creatures, his corgi, Bryce, was a constant fixture at his side. Beyond his many interests and talents, he held family and close friends as his number one priority. He was quick with a smile and always had a way of putting things into proper perspective. He was one of a kind, and people liked him. His humor, wisdom and dependability will remain an everlasting inspiration for those that knew and cherished him. Lowell was a spiritual person whose actions were guided by his faith in God and in Christ as his savior. He will be greatly missed by his mother Barbara (Tisor) Bowen, brothers Len and Leland Bowen, sister-in-law, Jill (Hauenstein) Bowen, and his niece and nephew, Briana and Benjamin Bowen. He is preceded in death by his father, Dale Bowen and two infant brothers, Loren and Lyle Dean. An event to celebrate his life will be announced at a date within the near future. In the blink of an eye, my brother, I will also leave this earth. I can only hope that I will prepare for my departure with the same courage and fortitude that you have shown. With whatever fragment of time that remains I will forever cherish my memories of you. I will always sense your presence as I encounter daily situations that will spark remembrance of you. Situations and events that will stir me to anticipate those things you would have said and done, and give cause to a burning desire to glance your way to verify that we were thinking much the same. While knowing that you are attending more important venues, there will be times that I will peer towards the sky and ask for your advice. There will be times that I will wipe a tear from my eye. And, my brother, there will be times that a glimmer of a smile will cross my face . . . a smile that will guided by the undeniable faith that we, once again, will be reunited to a brotherhood sanctioned within the sacred realm of eternity.
