Funeral services for Marie Linn Richards, 93, of Cedar Rapids, formerly of Tipton who died Saturday, Saturday, January 21, 2012 will be held Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Fry Funeral Home, Tipton, with the Rev. Lloyd Brockmeyer officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 23, 2012 from 4-6 pm at Fry Funeral Home, Tipton, with Easter Star Services at 4:00 PM. Burial will be in the Tipton Masonic Cemetery in Tipton. A memorial has been established in her memory. Marie was born June 22, 1918 the daughter of Paul K. and Mildred May Linn Richards, in Tipton, Iowa. She was a graduate of Tipton High School and Tipton Junior College. Marie was employed as Deputy Clerk of United States Bankruptcy Court for 35 years. She was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Cedar Rapids, and Malta Chapter Cedar Rapids #415 OES. She is survived by her cousin, Betty Linn of Tipton, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents. [more]
