Patrick W. Kernan Patrick Kernan of East Antoine Drive in Port Washington, passed away in Fort Myers Beach, FL on Thursday, January 26, 2012 after a courageous battle with ALS "Lou Gehrig's Disease". Pat was born in Milwaukee on May 3, 1941, son of Gerald and Janet Young Kernan. He married Kathleen Buechler at St. Mary Parish in Lake Church on June 13, 1964. Pat worked at American Motors Company in Milwaukee, and then at Bolens Corp. for over 33 years. He was a member of St. Peter of Alcantara Catholic Church and the parish decorating committee, and also Local #1430 IAM. Pat enjoyed celebrating his Irish-Scottish heritage, attending Irish Fest and other Irish entertainment. He also loved spending time with his grandchildren, family and friends, going to McDonalds and collecting McDonalds memorabilia. Pat is survived by his wife Kathleen of Port Washington, two daughters Lisa (Terry) Green of Lake Church and Tammy (Roger) Sinnen of Random Lake. hler of Belgium, brothers-in-law Fred (Cheri) Buechler of Cedar Grove and Ed (Judy) Buechler of Belgium, sister-in-law Carol Eckert of Sheboygan, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many, many friends and neighbors. He is preceded in death by his parents and two sisters Mary Connelly and Anne Alfke. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Friday, February 3rd , 7 PM at St. Peter of Alcantara Catholic Church in Port Washington with Father Patrick Wendt officiating. He will be laid to rest in St. Mary Parish Cemetery in Lake Church. Visitation will be held at the CHURCH on Friday, February 3rd from 4-7 PM. Pat's family will have fellowship for all his family, friends and neighbors following Mass in the cafeteria at St. Peter's. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established in Pat's name for the ALS Foundation. The Eernisse Funeral Home, Port Washington is assisting the family.
