Thomas Russell Lee BURLINGTON, Iowa -- Thomas Russell Lee, 87, of Burlington, died on Friday, February 3, 2012, at Great River Medical Center in West Burlington. Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, February 6, 2012, at Lunning Chapel. The Rev. Sam Fratt will officiate services. The Burlington Area Veterans Honor Guard will conduct military rites. Interment will take place in Greenwood Cemetery, Muscatine. Visitation was held on Sunday, February 5, 2012. A memorial has been established for Great River Home Health Care. Thomas was born on December 7, 1924, in Muscatine, the son of Russell V. "Whitey" and Le Oma "Omie" Tharp Lee. He was a Burlington High School graduate. He married Dee LeVelle on April 11, 1964, in Wichita, Kansas. He served in World War II with the U.S. Navy. He was a steamfitter and welder and did construction work. Survivors include his wife, Dee Lee of Burlington; daughters, Cheryl Lee Hepner and husband, Mark, of Tucson, Arizona, Keryl Bauer of Red Rock, Arizona, and Cindy Gunn and husband, Jerry, of Frederick, Maryland; sons, Thomas Lee and wife, Merrie, of Texas, Patrick Lee and wife, Sharon, of Springfield, Missouri, ...[more]
