Richard J. "Dick" Koerwer

Richard J. "Dick" Koerwer, 91 formerly of Yardley, PA died Wednesday February 8, 2012 at his home in Annapolis, MD. Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Charles Robert and Lillian (nee Clemmer) Koerwer. Mr. Koerwer was preceded in death by his wife Lucille (nee Browning) Koerwer in 2008. He served in the US Navy from 1944 to 1946 in the Pacific and Philippine campaigns. Dick was a Mechanical Engineer, employed by Mobil Oil in Manhattan and Philadelphia for 26 years, The Franklin Institute Research Center and the Batelle Memorial Institute prior to his retirement in 1985. He then became a Certified Financial Planner for Lincoln Investment in Wyncote until he retired at age 85. Mr. Koerwer was a former member of Rotary Club of Philadelphia He is the devoted father of Nancy Goodwin of New Market, NH, Karyn Koerwer of Lower Gwynedd, PA, Patricia Koerwer of Annapolis, MD, Theresa Coyle of Cheney, PA, Richard Koerwer of Dallas, TX, and Robert Koerwer of Dallas, TX.
