Darlene Nesmith, daughter of Charles Henry and Emma Lena (Webster) Lincoln, was born on June 18, 1932 in Oregon, Missouri. She passed away on Saturday, February 10, 2007, at the Garden View Care Center in Shenandoah, Iowa at the age of 74. Most of Darlene's life was spent in the Shenandoah area with the exception of a few stays in Missouri. On June 18, 1952, Darlene was united in marriage to Tom Nesmith in Shenandoah where they made their home. She worked for Henry Field Seed & Nursery for 10 years and Earl May Seed & Nursery for 20 years. Darlene enjoyed reading and traveling with family and friends. She also had a great love for pets. She will be remembered by her family as a loving mother, wife, grandmother and friend. Preceding Darlene in death were her parents; brother, Glen Lincoln; and husband Tom Nesmith. Survivors include her children, Linda Romick and her husband Robert of Hot Springs, SD, Gary Cooper of Farragut, IA, Sheryl Shelton and her husband Robert of Aurora, CO, and Kelly Nesmith and his wife Karen of Omaha, NE; three grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; sisters, Ruby Maher of Gravity, IA and Doris Moore of Eugene, OR; brother, Leo...[more]
