Carl Earshel Bosley was born on July 12, 1922 in Modena, Missouri, the son of Earshel Eddie and Elizabeth Pearl (Walker) Bosley. Carl entered into peace on Friday, August 7, 2009 at the Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska. Carl's early years were spent in Brimson and Trenton, Missouri. He attended school in Trenton and graduated from Trenton High School with the Class of 1941. Three years later he enlisted in the United States Navy and served his country during WWII until 1946. On April 22, 1944 he was united in marriage to his best friend, Helen Nigh in Leavenworth, Kansas. The young couple made their home in Brimson, Missouri before moving to Shenandoah in 1948. During his working years, Carl was employed by Railway Express and later became the Nursery Superintendent at Henry Fields. Carl was a hard working and dedicated employee who enjoyed his 32 years with the company. Some of his interests included hunting, fishing, gardening, and spoiling his grandchildren. at their home in Texas. Carl was a member of the American Legion, the VFW, and the Eagles. He was preceded in death by his parents, son Ed Bosley, sister Wanda Smith, and brothers Bill Dunkin, Bob Dunkin, and Jim Dunkin. Those left to honor his memory include his wife Helen of Shenandoah, children June McClintock and husband Larry of Essex, IA, Gary Bosley and wife Barb of Shenandoah, and Karen Butler and husband Jim of Omaha, NE, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Kris McClintock Adkins and Dean, children, Mikayla, Claire and Sophia, of Shenandoah, IA., Chad and Amy McClintock and and children Cody and Camryn of Essex, IA., Bert and Tia McClintock and son Collin of Fairfax, IA., Nick and Jessica Bosley and daughter Maren of Shenandoah, IA., Matt and Catherine Bosley and children Kobe, Madison and Jackson of Gretna, NE., Brianne Bosley of Maryville, MO., Gabe Butler of Omaha, NE., Ben Butler of Chicago, IL., Jessica Butler LaRock and Mack, and daughter Addison of Omaha, NE.; siblings Mary Hobbs and husband Dale of Shenandoah, Betty Gibler and husband Ed of Greenfield, Missouri, Dorothy Dryer and husband Larry of Brimson, Missouri, and Buster Dunkin of Burlington, IA; other family and many friends.
