Aleene Scheib

Aleene Eleanor (Anderson) Scheib was born on November 14, 1922 in McComb, Illinois, the daughter of Claude and Sara (Kleckner) Anderson. Aleene entered into eternal peace on Sunday, September 19, 2010 at the Shenandoah Medical Center. Aleene graduated from Shenandoah High School with the Class of 1940. She continued her education at AIB in Des Moines and also at Iowa Western Community College. She was united in marriage to Lester Scheib in 1942 and to this union three children were born; Bruce, Rex, and Sheila. Aleene worked for Central Surveys in Shenandoah for 25 years. She was active in the Business and Professional Women's Club, the American Legion Auxiliary, and was a member of the United Congregational Church of Christ. Aleene loved to travel. Her adventures took her all across the United States, to the Hawaiian Islands and into Europe. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother and sister-in-law Leonard and Kay Anderson.
