Robert M. Levinson, died at age 89 on Saturday, September 8, 2007. Born in Pittsburgh, PA June 20, 1918 to Sophie and Naimon Levinson. A 1937 graduate of LACC in publications, Mr. Levinson served our country proudly in WWII aboard the USS Ogalala. He had a varied career from publicity and press agent to merchant, and Dad always called himself the "jack of all trades, master of none." He owned and operated, with his wife Evelyn, Evergreen Produce Market in Glendale, CA and World Bazaar (later known as Wide World Import Bazaar ) in Pasadena, Hollywood, North Hollywood and Beverly Hills. He is preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Evelyn; and brothers, Leonard and Stanley Levinson. He leaves his children, Elliot Levinson, Judy Testa (Tony), Joyce Levinson Kriesel (David Kriesel), Rae MacInnes (Scott-who call him the best father-in-law a guy could ask for) and Ruth Globerson. He also leaves his loving grandchildren, Lisa, Chellee, Michelle, Renee and Brian; and great-grandchildren, Jessica, Michael, Tyler, Paige and McKay.
