Beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather andUncle Picky, passed away Tuesday January 10 in Sherman Oaksfollowing a brief illness. Henry was born November 6, 1913 inToledo, Ohio and moved to Los Angeles where he met Sylvia hisloving wife of 62 years. Henry was a decorated World-War II veteran and a highly regarded toy industry executive who wascommitted to philanthropic activities thoughout Los Angeles,with organizations including Score, B'nai Brith and UnitedJewish Welfare Fund.He is survived by his children, Stuart(Lissa)Zanville and Beverly(Gary) Thurber, his grandchildren Genelle(Shawn)Mills,Melanie Thurber, Matthew Thurber, Sara Zanville and KatyZanville, and his great-granddaughter Allyson Mills.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to Women's American ORT, 5530 Corbin, Tarzana, CA 91356.[more]
