He graciously participated as a national and international coordinator for Rotary InternationalÂ's Â"Polio PlusÂ" campaign to eradicate polio in children worldwide. Raised in Silver City, New Mexico, Bill attended UCLA, where he met his dear Ruth. He lettered in varsity baseball and, upon graduation, served in the Pacific as a celestial navigator in the Naval Air Corps during World War II. After the war, Bill attended USC Dental School on the GI Bill.He leaves his dear wife, Ruth, who has constantly been by his side, daughters Jeannine and Carol (Michael), son Nyle (Kathie) and two adoring grandchildren, Rami and Raphael.In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to City of Hope (Salter Chapter), Braille Institute or American Friends of the Hebrew University.
