Rosenthal, Maurice I. Born January 10, 1923 in Saint Joseph, Missouri to Louis andLottie Rosenthal. He was the youngest of six siblings. Passed away on September 1, 2011 at his home in Beverly Hills. He joined the army during World War II where he was part ofthe A.S.T.P. (Army Specialized Training Program), and he served In the Signal Corps. He spent much of his time in college in the U.S. where he studied engineering. Overseas he served in the European Theatre. After the war he spent time in Alaska where he was going to school and always had his own business on the side. Returning to California he met and married his beloved wife,Arlene in 1952, and that year he founded American Electronics Supply (Ametron). Over the years Maury and Arlene traveled the world together. He wasalso an avid collector of antique radios and other items connected with electronics. Most important to him was his family. He was a devoted father to Ken Rosenthal, Leslie (Scott Shlecter), Fred (Eugenia) Rosenthal, and Janet (Alan Block)and a very proud grandfather to 13 grandchildren (7 boys and 6 girls).
