Throughout his lifetime, Maury demonstrated his philanthropy through his generous commitment to many causes, including The City of Hope, Jewish Federation and Fred Hutchison Cancer Research, to name just a few. Maury and Francine were golf enthusiasts. They joined El Caballero Country Club in 1972. In the years that followed, he served on the board of directors and as President. His devotion to the membership and passion for the Club were second to none.Maury was a devoted son, husband, father and grandfather. He loved and looked after his parents throughout their lives. He adored and worshipped his lifelong love and partner, Francine; their love was legendary. He was fiercely devoted to his family. His concern and interest in their lives was his highest priority.He loved the American West, Native American culture and was an avid collector of Western Art. His home away from home was Jackson Hole, Wyoming where he practiced his passion for fly fishing. Maury fought a tough and courageous battle against ALS. On March 12, 2008, he died peacefully in his home surrounded by his family who loved him.MauryÂ's philanthropy, generosity, strength, integrity, character, kindness and love touched many and his spirit lives on and serves as an inspiration to all who knew him.He is survived by his wife, Francine, children, Gregg, Glennis and Judd, his grandchildren, Roxanne, Alexander, Spencer and Ava, son-in-law, Jim Malcolm, daughter-in-law, Nicole Sassaman, his brother-in-law, Gerson, nieces Sharna and Rachel and many other nieces and nephews.
