Tobman, HerbertBorn December 29, 1922 in Chicago, Illinois, passed away on October 28, 2008with his loving family at his bedside. Survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Ann;his adoring children, son David (Madelyn) Tobman, daughter ,Gail (Stephen) Shapiro;and a loving "Papa Herb" to his grandchildren Joshua Shapiro, Alisa Shapiro, KimberlyTobman and Brandon Tobman.Herb was the founder/president of Colortone Lithograph and Automation Printing Companyof Los Angeles. He served in the U.S Army during World War II as a photographer in the Pacific.Herb was a Mason and a Shriner and proud member of the Ionic Lodge 520. He was a Member of Sinai Temple of Los Angeles for 55 years, a patron of the University of Judaism(American Jewish University) , supporter and fundraiser for Camp Ramah.He will be greatly missed and remembered fondly for his generosity, his good humor, andhis love of life by his family, his many friends, and his devoted Automation Printing extended family.In lieu of flowers, kindly make contributions to the American Cancer Society.[more]
