WILLIAM H. "BILL" DAVIS Bill Davis, 64, died unexpectedly Monday, February 13 at his home in Miramar, FL. He was born on May 22, 1947 in Decatur, Illinois to John and Irma (Korte) Davis, who preceded him in death. As they were a military family Bill grew up in various locations in the States and Stuttgart Germany. Bill graduated from Savannah High School in 1965. He played tackle/guard for the football team and sustained a knee injury, which plagued him for the rest of his life. He began his college career North Georgia College. He graduated from Armstrong State College in Savannah, GA with Bachelor Degree in Political Science. Bill excelled at his work. Insurance companies were very pleased at his work ethic and loyalty to his job. He was a top-notch claims adjuster/manager and his expertise was in the insurance claims arena. His experience was in Georgia, California and Florida. His family remembers him fondly as a "repository of useless information". He just had a knack for retaining trivia. o a sweetheart. His sisters survive him: Nancy Plews of Shelton, WA, Marilyn Bentz of Lehigh Acres, FL and Sally Davis of Cape Coral, FL. Also surviving is a niece, Lori Johnson, of Shelton, WA and a nephew, John Pope of Cape Coral, FL. A memorial service is planned for Saturday, April 14 at 11:00 am at Christ United Methodist Church, 1430 Homestead Road North, Lehigh Acres FL. There will be a luncheon following the service. The family suggests memorial donations be made to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA).
