Claude Jackson "Jack" Stout, 91, of Danville, died Thursday, February 16, 2012 at Danville Care Center, one day shy of his 92nd birthday.
He was born in Carthage, IL on February 17, 1920, the son on Clarence Eldon and Orva Estelle Jackson Stout. On November 8, 1940, North of Danville, he married Fern Lucille Schlarbaum. Mr. Stout was a 1938 graduate of Danville High School, was a World War II Navy veteran, a member of the Danville United Methodist Church, and a 50 year member of the Danville Masonic Lodge. He was employed as a telegraph operator with the railroad. He loved all forms of music, especially Barbershop. He enjoyed trains, football, and reading. He was an advocate for senior affairs.
He is survived by his wife, Fern of Danville, three daughters, Cindy Davisson of Cedar Rapids, Susie Stout of Broad Run, VA and Mary Lee Zapor of Rockville, MD., four grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren, and one sister-in-law, Marguerite Stout of Hays, KS.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Shirley Stout and one son, Gary Stout, and one brother, Dr. Donald Stout.

ew London. Pastor Doug Cue will officiate. Burial will be in Long Creek Cemetery, rural Danville. Visitation will begin after 9:00 AM at the chapel with the family greeting friends for one hour prior to the service. A memorial has been established.
