Annabelle Phelps Kempf MUSCATINE, Iowa--Annabelle Phelps Kempf, 88, of Muscatine, passed away on Monday, February 20, 2012, at Trinity Hospital in Muscatine. Funeral Service will be 10 a.m. on Friday, February 24, 2012, at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services. Burial will take place in Letts Cemetery. Following the interment a time of food and fellowship will be held at the Muscatine Church of Christ. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, February 23, 2012, at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the Fair Haven Children's Home, 3132 N. Fair Haven Loop Strafford, MO 65757. Annabelle Ball was born on November 11, 1923, in McNatt, Missouri, the daughter of Oscar John and Ruby Gail Maxwell Ball. On June 13, 1941, Annabelle was united in marriage to Elgin Phelps. Upon Elgin's passing, Annabelle married Don Kempf on June 2, 1968, in Muscatine. She will be deeply missed by her children, Dean Phelps and wife, Marianne, of Nichols, Garry Phelps and wife, Meta, of Nisswa, Minnesota, Luann Nichols and husband, Tommy, of Dixon, Missouri, Julia Edwards and husband, Robert, of Muscatine; 12 grandchildren; seven great-grandchi...[more]
