Rhonda J. Dixon

A Remembrance Service for Rhonda J. Dixon, 58, of Chariton will be Thursday, March 1, 2012 at 7:30 p.m. at the Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Chariton. Family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 5:00 p.m. Memorials are requested to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure or the American Diabetes Association. Rhonda was born October 26, 1953 in Chariton, Iowa to Gene and Betty (Moon) Lenzine. She attended Chariton Schools and graduated from Chariton High School in 1972. She was married to Melvin Conrad in 1972 and was blessed with two children: Melissa and Jason. She was later married to Bill Dixon. Rhonda worked at SCICAP for 25 years. In 1996, she moved to Olathe, Kansas where she worked for the State of Kansas, then for Atcheson Plumbing Company, Heritage Labs, and Kansas City Dermatology. Rhonda was very family oriented. Everything in her life revolved around her family and close friends. She loved to have family gatherings and dinners, where she would make her family's favorite homemade noodles and pea salad. everyday. Rhonda passed away February 27, 2012 at the age of 58 after courageously battling cancer since 2007. She always kept her spirit, positive outlook, and love for others during her illness. Rhonda will be missed by her mother, Betty Lenzine of Chariton; children: Melissa (Jerry) Neer of Chariton, and Jason (Kylee Stalkfleet) Conrad of Olathe, KS; grandson, Hunter Neer; brothers: Steve Lenzine and Kevin (Julie) Lenzine; many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. She will be greatly missed by her best friends, Brenda Morris and Penny & John Colwell. Preceding her in death are her father, Gene Lenzine; grandson, Peyton Conrad; and her brother, Kyle Lenzine.
