Joel Evers

Joel John Evers was born on November 14, 1967, in Sleepy Eye, Minnesota to the late Theodore "Ted" and Madeline (Neidecker) Evers. He was baptized at an early age in Sleepy Eye and later confirmed at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Windom. He received his education in the Windom and Mt. Lake Public Schools. Through the years, Joel worked for Mathiowetz Construction out of Sleepy Eye, STS Transport of Comfrey, Fast Distributing of Mt. Lake, helped his brother with his custom hay business, worked for various farmers in the area during harvest season, and most recently, worked at Janzen Fabricating and Repair in Mt. Lake, Minnesota. On Tuesday evening, February 28, 2012, Joel was involved in a single vehicle accident north of Bingham Lake. He passed away at the scene from his injuries at the age of 44 years. Joel had many enjoyments in life which included fishing, deer hunting, motorcycles, ATV four- wheelers, the outdoors, and spending time in a tractor doing fieldwork. is five siblings, Pat Schroeder and her husband, Allan, of Hobbs, NM; Colleen Pfaff and her husband, Bruce, of New Ulm; Nancy Mann of Sleepy Eye; Mike Evers and his fiance , Cindy, of Butterfield; Deb Beam and Mark of Mankato; special pet, Ebony; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
